Lonestar closed Thurs 1/26 & Sat 1/28
Due to the damage from the rain we are closed tonight. We will also be closed Sat due to the National in Guthrie OK. Hopefully we will be back on track next week.
Off Track Training
2011′s #1 ABA A Pro Fernie J along with his brother Fernie will be offering Off Track training for BMX this Sunday.
They will be meeting Sundays from 12-2 at Panther Springs Park.
Participants will need to bring Workout Shoes, clip shoes, bike and a Gallon of water.
The cost will be $20 and is only open to those that are dedicated and want to train, this will not be an easy workout.
2012 BMX Season
We will reopen for the 2012 season on Tuesday 1/3 for practice.
We will keep the same schedule of Tuesday practice 6 – 8:30, Thursday and Saturday racing, signups 6-7pm.
The cost for practice is increasing to $5, fees for racing will remain $10. We are returning to the policy of a $2 discount for riding both class and cruiser ($18).
We will be running open classes on Saturdays for those who are interested, the cost is $2, there are no awards for open. You must be registered for class to participate in open.
Starting in January the Ondrias’s have graciously agreed to take over management of the concessions stand. There will be slight adjustments in price as I (Cory) never adjusted for price increases at the stores. We also will be discontinuing the tab system as this is really challenging for our volunteers. The kids can use down the tabs they currently have but we will not be putting any ne money on the tabs.
We will keep you posted as we schedule our big races for the year, we need to wait until after the 1st to schedule with the ABA.
As always we welcome all volunteers. Please let us know if there is a job you are interested in. It takes a small army to run the track and we appreciate all the help we get.

Unfortunately the sun did not come out -so no racing tonight at Lone Star. We will be closed until after 1/1 for the break. Happy Holidays!

Closed Tues 12/13 due to rain. Hopefully the sun will come out so we can hold the last race of the season on Thursday 12/15.
Raffle for Rider Down
Lone Star BMX will be holding a raffle on Sat 12/10 to support Jim Kopchak, a Cowtown BMX racer that was severely injured at Grands this year. Raffle tickets will be 2 for $5 and 5 for $10. Raffle prizes will include donations from Lone Star BMX and Kristy’s salon – Personal Touch.
